Preliminary Research
Using 3D body scans of professional female equestrians and survey data, this research investigated sizing, chafing zones, thermoregulation. It also updated the equestrian boot last for the modern user’s needs.
technologies
The Epona Sport system translates rider pain points into four targeted technologies: Equi-Span for zoned stretch, Equi-Vent for dynamic thermoregulation, Equi-Tread for ground and stirrup traction, and Equi-Seat for in-saddle grip.
Design Process
My design process began with a mood board for inspiration. After this, I began sketching various ideas to hone my vision. From here, prototypes were created physically and digitally. Once they were wearable, four rounds of garments were tested with local professional equestrians.
Validation
Validation: Field testing with professional riders demonstrated measurable gains in airflow, traction, and stretch, confirming that Epona outperforms leading equestrian brands in comfort and security.
